Purpose of role
This internship role will be supporting the team with a multitude of core duties, such as market trend analyses, as well as execution and portfolio management duties across different deals and projects.

Your key accountabilities
This role works in the team to support senior staff in the analysis and monitoring of market and industry trends, targeted companies, as well as existing deals and projects.
Research, collect, and analyze information about market/industry as well as individual corporations to forecast business, industry, and economic conditions trends and present oral and written reports to team members
Assist senior staff to develop investment theses and identify opportunities
Assist in conducting due diligence on potential investee companies
Assist deal team to monitor existing investments through:
oAnalysis of information obtained from financial publications and services, investment banking firms, government agencies, trade publications, company sources, and personal interviews,
oGather and interpret data affecting investments, such as price, yield, stability, future trends in investment risks, economic influences, and
oAnalyze and monitor investees’ key performance metrics every month

Your skills and experience
Currently undergoing a graduate program in business and/or science (information technology, life sciences, electrical engineering)
Preferably 2 – 3 years of relevant work experience (for example, investment, high-technology, and/or healthcare)
Excellent mathematical and financial skills. Able to use these skills to solve complex problems.
Excellent knowledge and understanding of Mandarin Chinese and English (listening, writing, speaking).
Excellent critical thinking skills.
Solid judgment and decision-making.
Solid complex problem-solving skills. Identifies potential problems, reviews related information to evaluate options, and implements solutions.
Solid communication skills: concise, effective, persuasive, and proactive, with a forthright, direct style.
Active learner. Understands the implications of new information for problem-solving and decision-making.
Workstyle: Entrepreneurial, with a collaborative, team-based approach. Eager to provide insight and receive feedback. Excellent attention to detail.
